Where we deliver across Sangamon County
Our yard sits on 1250 Taylor St in Springfield, minutes from Lincoln's Tomb and the Lincoln Home National Historic Site downtown. That location decides the shape of our day: Springfield and the closest towns are close enough that a morning call often becomes an afternoon delivery, and towns further out toward the edges of the county are scheduled next-day routes rather than same-day work. We would rather tell you that plainly than promise a container by lunchtime and leave you waiting.
Sangamon County looks genuinely different place to place when it comes to running a truck. Central Springfield streets near the historic districts can be tight with infill construction and older lot lines. Chatham and Rochester are some of the fastest-growing new-construction areas in the county. Where I-55 and I-72 cross and historic Route 66 runs through town, traffic moves differently than it does out past Sherman or Riverton — a different world again, with more open road and less of it. Sangamon County service area questions
Which Sangamon County towns do you deliver dumpsters to?
All 16 towns — Springfield, Southern View, Jerome, Leland Grove, Grandview, Chatham, Rochester, Sherman, Riverton, Williamsville, New Berlin, Pleasant Plains, Auburn, Divernon, Mechanicsburg and Pawnee. Our yard is on Taylor St in Springfield, so Springfield and the closest towns are the quickest, and towns farther out toward the edges of the county are next-day rather than same-day.
Does it cost more to deliver farther from Springfield?
Distance is a real cost, so an Auburn or Pawnee delivery is not priced the same as a Springfield one. What we will not do is hide it. You get the full number on the phone before anything is booked, and it does not change afterwards unless the load goes over the tonnage allowance you agreed to.
How far in advance should I book?
Right after a severe thunderstorm or tornado moves through and during the busiest stretch of the building season, book as early as you can. Outside those windows you can usually get a container within a day or two. New-construction sites in growing areas like Chatham and Rochester book out fastest, so plan ahead if you are working on one.
Can you deliver if I am not on the property?
Yes, and it happens constantly with rental properties and job sites where the owner is not on site. Mark the spot with a cone, a stake or a chalk line, tell us about gate codes and low limbs, and stay reachable by phone. The driver will call before setting the container down if anything looks wrong.
Do you serve areas outside your listed towns?
Call and ask. Our published service area covers the 16 towns listed on this page, but we take calls from just outside that boundary regularly — if a truck can reasonably get there, we will usually say yes.
